What We Do
NCEA provides online and on site tests that are aligned
with state, provincial and international standards for schools
and for home schooling systems. The tests are available online
and in hard copy in several formats including:
- thematic
- open-ended
- matching
- multiple choice
- true false
- completion and projects
- problem-based
NCEAs test bank includes more than one million items
in mathematics, science, social studies, English/Language
Arts and Career Education for grades K-12. NCEA will design
tests to suit specific assessments related to individual,
class, school-wide, district-wide, state, provincial or international
systems.
Our Clients
NCEAs tests may be used by classroom teachers, counselors,
district resource staff and school administrators to place
students in the appropriate level/grade; to monitor student
growth over time and to facilitate individualized instruction,
giftedness and acceleration. Parents and state/provincial
departments may use the assessments for accountability, grants,
planning and training.
Assessment Strategy
The main schemata for NCEAs tests is organized by Subject
such as Mathematics, Science, English, social studies, career
education), by Grade Level (K, 1, 2, 12), by Topic (Data Analysis),
by Subtopic (Using Money when shopping..), by Learning outcome
or standard (The student will demonstrate ability to use two
digit numbers to add..), by Type (multiple choice, thematic,
open ended etc.), Taxonomy, (simple recall, knowledge/comprehension,
evaluation, analysis, application, synthesis), and the Answer
and/or criteria.
Membership
NCEA welcomes memberships from individuals and organizations
interested in exchanging
items or in working collaboratively toward the goal of
generating quality assessment tools that target ongoing improvement
and learning. |
